LMU CAM Strategic Partnership Online Symposium: The role of microbes in plant health: Emerging topics!

2nd of October 2020, 2 pm - 5:30 pm (GMT+2; Berlin time zone)

02.10.2020

Overview
This year's symposium of the series "Sustainable food production" focuses on "The role of microbes in plant health: Emerging topics!". The FAO declared 2020 the international year of plant health. Plant health is impacted by a vast range of microbes that can affect plant health in multiple ways, ranging from beneficial to detrimental outcomes. To control microbial infections is therefore essential in an agricultural context. This symposium will highlight emerging topics and novel approaches to address this challenge for improved plant health. The symposium is thereby explicitly targeting both, the interested public as well as students and researchers from life sciences. This symposium is a joint event between the LMU Munich (Genetics) and the University of Cambridge (Sainsbury Laboratory) as part of the LMU+CAM strategic partnership, and the research communities of the TU Munich and the EKU Tübingen.
