The aim of the investigations is to deepen our understanding of the molecular mechanisms of plant light adaptation. Various aspects of phytochrome signal transduction and signal transduction between the cell nucleus and chloroplast (retrograde signal) and the influence on photosynthesis are analyzed using genetic, molecular and biochemical methods.
