Research interests

I am interested in photosynthetic diversity and plant adaptation to stress. I am currently studying the temporal dynamics of CAM induction in C3-C4 Portulaca cryptopetala, a member of the genus Portulaca, which is fascinating in its integration of both C4 and CAM photosynthetic pathways. I will examine how repeated drought and recovery cycles influence CAM response. By studying gene expression at different stages of drought stress, I aim to better understand how both pathways are coordinated and regulated within this species.
