Systematics, biodiversity and evolution of plants

Our field of research is the systematics, phylogenetics and evolution of plants and fungi, with a particular interest in the evolution of environmental adaptations. Our methods range from field research, light and electron microscopy, molecular cytogenetics and molecular phylogenetics to the analysis of whole genomes (“genomics”).
