Biology is one of the leading sciences of the 21st century, bridging the gap between other natural and human sciences, such as medicine, physics, chemistry, geology, geography, and philosophy.
The Faculty of Biology at LMU Munich is one of the largest biological faculties in Germany. It offers its students a comprehensive education in biology, encompassing a wide range of thematic and methodological aspects and areas of focus.
The numerous biological disciplines and research areas represented within the faculty allow the incorporation of latest findings on current, socially relevant research topics into the curriculum. Furthermore, the proximity to neighboring faculties and research centers, as well as the cooperation with other non-university research and educational institutions, benefit students, who enjoy excellent learning and study conditions.
