Insights from Professional Practice

A biology degree opens the door to a wide range of career paths! Early exposure to different professions is helpful and motivating for all students, supporting a successful academic journey. In this lecture series, speakers share their career trajectories, provide insights from their professional experience, and offer tips for entering the job market. The series was launched in 2017 by Timea Neusser and Andreas Brachmann and has been organized since 2021 by a student group in collaboration with the Career Orientation Working Group of the Faculty of Biology.

This event is open to students of all semesters and degree programs. Documented attendance at 25 sessions can be credited as a career-qualifying module (for both Bachelor's and Master's programs) worth 3 ECTS credits. Please note: This lecture series does not replace the scientific seminars required in the Master's program!
