The science podcast “Pflanzen und ihr Mikrokosmos” returns with its second season, offering fascinating insights into the world of plant-microbe interactions. The series explores current plant research, personal career paths in science, and the role of microscopic organisms in plant growth, health, and adaptability.

Guests include not only researchers from the DFG-funded Collaborative Research Centre TRR356 PlantMicrobe, but also students, scientists from related disciplines, and science communication experts, providing diverse perspectives on research and its transfer.

The podcast continues to be hosted by Dr. Dagmar Hann, biologist at the Institute of Genetics at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich. In the first episode of the new season, she speaks with Shaojun Pan from the Center for Plant Molecular Biology (ZMBP) in Tübingen about the interaction of geminiviruses with plants.

New episodes are released every two weeks on Thursdays and are available on major podcast platforms as well as on the website: https://pflanzen-und-ihr-mikrokosmos.letscast.fm/.
