Big lecture hall

With 280 fold-down seats spread across 18 rows. There are no power outlets at the seats, only at the lectern and the video projector.

Access to the large lecture hall is to the left and right of the foyer (see yellow signs with arrows), towards the Schmuckhof courtyard of the Botanical Garden. For some events, the lecture hall can also be accessed from the garden.

  • Room 109: With 18 seats and 7 tables.
  • Room 138: With 30 seats and 35 microscopes (Leica DM 750, eight of them with a camera - Leica DMC and a laptop with the software LAS X) and 21 Zeiss binoculars (Zeiss Stemi DRC Binokular, only reflected light).
  • Room 139: With 24 seats and 24 microscopes (Leitz HM Lux 3 - Mono-Okular) and 20 Zeiss binoculars (Zeiss Stemi DV4 Binokular with reflected light and transmitted light).
  • Room 140: With 30 seats and 30 microscopes (Leitz HM Lux 3 - Mono-Okular) and 15 Zeiss binoculars (Zeiss Stemi DRC Binokular, only reflected light).

Each of the rooms has a Leica demo-microscope (Leica DM 1000/2000) and binocular (Leica M80) connected with a screen
