Prof. Haug’s research to feature in a special exhibition at the SNHM in Braunschweig

The special exhibition ‘Larvae: The Childlike Side of Biology’ is on display at the State Natural History Museum in Braunschweig (SNHM Braunschweig). It is largely based on the research of Prof. Dr Joachim T. Haug and PD Dr Carolin Haug from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich.

The exhibition was curated by Prof. Dr Joachim T. Haug and PD Dr Carolin Haug, together with PD Dr Mike Reich and Tanja Stegemann from the State Museum of Natural History in Braunschweig.

Featuring high-resolution photographs, original specimens and striking 3D models, the exhibition brings to light the often-hidden life stages of animals. It demonstrates that larvae play a crucial role in ecosystems and highlights their importance for biodiversity and nature conservation. The exhibition was developed as part of a Lichtenberg Professorship at LMU Munich, funded by the Volkswagen Foundation.
