Melastomataceae
one of the 10 largest families of flowering plants.
Project overview
Melastomataceae is one of the 10 largest flowering plant families. Our research focuses on the systematics, phylogenetics, biogeography, and macroevolution of the family, in particular the Old World lineages. In addition, we also study the genetic basis and evolution of key innovative traits, such as heteranthery.
