The Graduate School Life Science Munich (LSM) is supported by 50+ research groups spanning four faculties of Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU): the Faculty of Biology, the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy, the Medical Faculty, and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
Our faculty is a vibrant mix of established international leaders and ambitious early-career scientists. Together, they offer doctoral candidates the opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research in excellent facilities, within a truly international environment.
Located at the HighTechCampus LMU in Martinsried, LSM sits at the heart of one of Europe's most dynamic life science clusters — fostering continuous scientific exchange with the Max Planck Institutes for Biochemistry and Neurobiology and the Helmholtz Zentrum München.
What sets LSM apart is the breadth of its scientific scope, bringing together researchers from across the full spectrum of the life sciences to enable cross-disciplinary thinking and collaboration that transcends traditional boundaries.
